Beautify is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we retain it when you use beautify.am or our mobile applications.

1. Overview

Beautify.am is a beauty services booking platform (Beautify LLC, registered in the Republic of Armenia). We connect clients with professional beauty businesses. The platform lets clients find the nearest or best-matching beauty salon or specialist, read reviews from other clients about salons or specialists, and book appointments online. The platform lets beauty salons and beauty-industry specialists reach more clients, accept online bookings, coordinate salon or specialist schedules, receive booking reminders, and receive reviews on completed work.

This policy applies to all visitors, registered users, and business partners who use our platform.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Personal data: name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
• Account data: main profile photo and notification settings. In our mobile application, we request camera permission only when you choose to take a profile photo in-app.
• Booking data: selected services, booking dates and times, selected salons, specialist.
• Reviews about businesses or specialists.
• Business or collaborating specialist data (partners only): company and specialist name, address, working hours, service list, staff (for salons).
• Messages to the support specialist and attached files.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• We collect time spent on the site and actions you take.
• Device data for the device you use to access the platform: browser type, operating system, screen resolution.
• Location data: approximate location derived from your IP address, or precise location if you grant permission for "near me" searches.

2.3 Information from third parties

• Google OAuth: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
• Analytics providers: aggregated, anonymised usage statistics from our analytics tools.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity, including enabling profile photo upload or capture in the mobile app.
• Process, confirm, and send reminders for your bookings.
• Display your reviews and ratings on business profiles.
• Show you relevant search results, recommendations, and personalised content.
• Communicate with you about your account, bookings, and platform updates.
• Investigate technical issues and disputes.
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the platform and develop new features.
• Comply with legal obligations.
• Use camera access only to let you take a profile photo in the app; we do not use camera permission for background recording or unrelated tracking.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• When you book with any business: when you make a booking, the business receives your name, contact details, and booking details.
• Service providers: trusted third parties who help us operate the platform (hosting and similar services).
• Legal requirements: when disclosure is required by law or court order.
• Merger with another business or sale: in the event of a merger or sale, your data may be transferred. We will notify you in advance.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Essential cookies: keep you logged in and protect against cross-site request forgery.
• Functional cookies: preserve your language, search preferences, and interface settings.
• Analytics cookies: analyse customer behaviour on the platform for improvement purposes.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. If you disable essential cookies, the site may not be able to recognise your activity on the platform.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as long as your data is needed to provide our services.

• Account data is retained until you delete your account.
• Booking history is retained indefinitely; if you delete your account, it continues to be stored in anonymised form.
• Reviews you post remain visible unless you request their removal or your account is deleted.
• Analytics data is anonymised and retained indefinitely.

After account deletion, reviews you left about services and other service-related data will continue to be stored anonymously without identifying you as the client.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• HTTPS (TLS) encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers.
• Hashed and salted password storage.
• All users on the platform have limited capabilities and limited access to data.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to info@beautify.am before public disclosure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• You may request the personal data we hold about you.
• If you notice inaccuracies in your personal data, you may correct them on the site or notify the support team.
• You may request full deletion of your personal data.

Beautify is not intended for users under 16. We do not collect children's personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
